She worked on our wedding and created a wonderful memory for Sommer and I. We really appreciated all the work she put into making our wedding unique and special. She tailored each arrangement to what Sommer was looking for and we really had a fun time. Check out her website, she's awesome.

Rubbin it ya face
So there's 5 days til Sommer gets down here and we all head to Cancun, suckaz! The plan so far is hit up the various ancient ruins around there...Chicen Itza and Tulun and maybe Cozumel. Hitting up the beach on our little chunk o dirt called Isla Mujeres (the island of women). We are staying on the north end of the island. We'll probably end up renting a scooter to cruise around the island and goof around. The plan is to spend the 7th to the 13th in Cancun and then spend the rest of the time til the 18th in Mexico City touring the city and finding the old ruins and shtuff. There's going to be a lot going on...i might even put up pictures because Sommer is bringing a camera and she loves taking pictures. Lucky you.
We're also gonna go scuba and snorkling a lot, so im pumped! I can't really think of much else to ramble on about...so im done

Intense day
so Saturday was a bit intense, so intense i didnt take any pictures...
I started the day bright and early at 7:30 and then promptly went back to sleep until 8:30 and got ready real quick so that Sommer and i could head out to Grand Targhee. We ended up boarding all day and had a blast. It was a beautiful day for snowboarding...snow storm. It dropped a foot or so of fresh snow up on the mountain and near white out conditions made the day a blast. After a full day of intense boarding, learning new tricks and having fun...we drove down to Green Canyon Hot Springs so we could relax in the hot tub and swimming. We spent from 7-9 out at the hot springs. As it closed i changed back into dry clothes and dried off...Sommer decided to stay in her swim suit and just dried off as much as she could. We got in her jeep and started driving home. I normally drive and was driving back to Rexburg in her jeep from Green Canyon on some ghetto hick road. The road was slicked and covered in light snow so i couldnt see the ice patch i was about to drive over....i ended up losing control on the ice and slid into the bank of snow which caused the jeep to flip onto its side.....suck!
Well there we were hanging sideways in her jeep (both of us were seat belted). since she was still in her swim suit, i bundled up and started back for the swimming pool...about 1/2 way there a truck passed and they drove me back to Sommer. We ended up having to call OnStar (the guy's truck had it) and getting a tow truck. Nothing super eventful happened after that...the tow truck came, flipped us back on all 4 wheels and then took the jeep back towards rexburg in a city called New Dale. Now all i have to do is figure out how i'm going to take care of this....crap

2 days in a row...pfff
Ok, i know that some of your hopes rose as you noticed i posted yesterday but lets be honest with ourselves...i wont keep this up. although i downloaded picasa and now have all my pictures organized n such....i wont become a blogger.
so for the last 2 weeks ive been bummin it at my old apartment. Mooching off of my room mates until i make up my mind concerning what ill do with the time i have off track. its been a slow process...ive got a girlfriend keeping me busy and parents who are pulling for a decision. since i dont really have a job here in Rexburg and no real hope of finding one (outside of the call center) and no real room to call my own...the only reason i have for staying in town is Sommer. There are days when i dont even really get around to thinking about this decision because i spend it all with her. so i figure i should get on that decision making process.
i mean, this is how bad im
mooching...look for yourself
Left - my bed....its not very inviting. even though there is a NES right there (complete with Duck Hunt and Mario)
Top right - Here is my closet.
Bottom Right- And here is my desk.
I put these pictures up with caution...worried that somehow it will set mom off.
I do have 6 more passes i need to use up at Grand Targhee before the season is over and if i head out to Mexico i wont be able to use them...
I am real excited for this weekend though.
by the way, that collage of snowboarding i made it my background...i know im conceited, kinda
i also learned why i shouldn't try talking while some professional photographer is taking pictures...i look 1/2 der while these other 3 are all putting on their beautiful model faces.

a day to myself, kinda
so today i felt like i needed some time to myself and decided to head out to Grand Targhee and use up one of the passes mom and dad got me for my birthda
y. The snow was great and i had a blast. It was nice because i could board as much and as fast as i wanted to, without having to wait for others...not that i dont enjoy being with others and such, but it was nice for once to get out there and really tear it up according to what i wanted. I got down the hill near closing and thought i was done because the clock read 3:58 and they close at 4 pm, but before i left i asked if i could head up once more...and they let me so i got a lot of boarding in. Then after they closed i came home and spent the rest of the evening with Sommer. We ended up watching some movie. We've been planning a trip out to her family's place over this 4 day weekend, we leave on Friday. It should be fun, there is a lot of stuff to do at her place and we're planning to end up boarding at the resort nearby called Bogus Basin.
i put loads of pics from the boarding trip on my picasa web album, check it

Christmas
so i am out in Cedar City visiting Cameo, and BJ for Christmas. Cameo just had her 3rd son and mom, dad and Abby have come up from mexico to spend Christmas with us. I guess since the only people who i've told about this blog are those who are with me...and they are criticizing my "blogging habits"...i don't need to go into detail about things since they have already heard it from me.
Sommer is coming down to visit the family later this week, so i am pretty excited. thats about it....

uh, here's a post for all you junkies
The semester is coming to close and life is going real well.
On Sunday i got back from spending 5 days with Sommer and her family. That was a lot of fun, but i have to admit that when she asked me if i wanted to go (i think she asked on monday and we left wednesday) i ignored the question for a while so i could think it through. even on the 5 hour drive out to boise i was still reeeally worried that i'd get nailed by her family. i guess i lucked out and they didnt grill me or anything. Her family is really cool and were very accepting.
We had a lot of fun and spent a lot of time together....
Her family has a trampoline, dirt bikes, a theater room, the same foosball table as we do, some miniature ponies and a sweet dog. So there was a lot of stuff to do.
All of Sommer's dads family came over and i got to know her cousin really well. The aunts and uncles mostly kept to themselves while us kids were having fun.
Sommer's sister was with us most the time, along with their cousin.
I am sure this comes as no surprise but i didn't really take any pictutes....

Mexico City
So I've been in Mexico City for the last week and have been thrown into multiple crazy situations where my Spanish has been tried and tested. Mom and Dad have had to set up the TV, phone, and internet services. Not only did I end up having to go back and forth between the sales men and Dad/Mom translating business terms but ordering everyone's food, dealing with parking and the people who work at the apartment complex. This was pretty easy in comparison to the accident that Dad had with someone on the highway. Now in Mexico the police don't get involved in traffic accidents and instead leave it up to the insurance companies to arrive on the scene to deal with the accident. So i ended up working with the insurance company during our accident. Today was pretty fun though, we went out to the Sun Temple and Moon Temple out here, and it was pretty sweeet. Abby and I were the only ones that climed the Sun Temple and we all ended up climbing up as far as we could on the Moon temple (which was only one flight up). Things are good and the food is great. It might seem like I am complaining about the spanish, but I have instead thoroughly enjoyed the chance to help Mom and Dad.

Summer fun
The summer has brought a lot of fun activities along with the beautiful weather here in Rexburg. Lots of time spent at the rivers, playing soccer or chillin out in the sand dunes. So I figured I would throw the pictures I have from all these things up online.

Car Hunt and more
So today dad and I got together and started hunting for cars at 10ish and went to looooads of different dealerships and looked at a lot of differnet cars. Each was tempting and had good things about them. We ended up getting conned a couple times and wasting a lot of time, but
in the end (and by the end i mean 7pm) we found a nice 2 door civic ex 2006, test drove it...loved it and got it. We left the dealer around 8:30 (they closed at 9)
We then went to try test driving dad's dream car...the Infiniti G37 Journey. We found a gray one and they let him drive it. He loved it.
I went to bed way too late after taking a long bath...those are the best! And only woke up on Tuesday because house keeping came by and in broken english did the whole "House keeping, hello?"
So then we went out with Dad and headed to Best Buy in our caravan of cars and then looked for a car sterio for Jenise. We got her one and then dad had to leave for Mexico City. I then helped Jenise figure out her stereo until she had to leave for St George. I had NO plan for the rest of the day and ended up talking with Dan Rust (my trainer) and i went with him and his wife and a little group of their friends to see the new batman movie (which was awesome). I had no place to stay for the night and when i took Dan and his wifey out to see my car they asked me where i was going to stay ... i responded with "here in my car" so they told me to stay with them. so i did.

Sunday
So its late Sunday night, my parents arrived with Abby here in Provo and we're chillin in our hotel room. We're looking at cars online and trying to find something fun.
So today I woke up pretty late and then went to church with Rebekah Barrett, an old friend from Minnesota. We then went to her place after church and had chicken alfredo+pasta. We stayed over with her for 5 hours and talked about a lot of fun things. I had a great time with Rebekah, her sister Janelle and Jenise. Then we left around 10-10:30 and then left to meet up with mom and dad.

Leaving Rexburg
So i stayed up way too late last night packing and then finished this morning. I then went with Matt (my new room mate) and moved in to our new apartment at Nauvoo house. Its a nice place. I ended up leaving most my stuff there.
Then i rushed off to Melissa's and helped her load up ALL the stuff she had. She's a girl, and that implies that she had a ridiculous amount of stuff to take. We ended up filling the entire truck bed of one of her family friend's truck. I have 1 bag and my backpack. We then went to Brother Hardmens house to wait her mom's arrival. The Hardmens fed us although they had other guests over at their house and they soon after left us alone in the house (which was a little wierd) as they went tubing down a river. Melissa and I watched Shaun of the Dead, and Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. I liked both movies. We then played some wierd tile game called Rummbikub or something. I lost. We had a lot of time to ourselves and ended up talking about "our relationship" and decided not to try the whole long distance thing but to enjoy the time we had together and see what happens in the winter (she's off track until January). So we'll see....Anyway, we got to the Hardmen's around 10:30 and left around 6:30. Which got us in Provo at 11:00 where i got with Jenise and came to our hotel room.
Tomorrow should be a good day. We're going to church with Rebekah Barrett and then meeting up with Hermana Murillo (from my mission). Im pumped!

School's out for the summer!
I finished with my last two finals, all went well enough. Physics was real good, and spanish was a little harder than i thought. we'll see how that ends. I leave tomorrow morning for Utah with Melissa and tonight i don't really know what is going to happen, but im excited!

Ok well, the night was a lot of fun. Melissa, one of her friends and myself....we all went out to Craigo's and had some good pizza/pasta. It was fun, and kinda funny because we ran into Ariel and that other guy (his name is Joe) so that was crazy. Anyway, we walked home and watched Second Hand Lion. It was a fun night. Then i started the whole packing thing, and i've been laboring with that since 2am. Bla!

The dunes n such
So last night Melissa and I, along with Matt and Dezzy, went out to the sand dunes that are just north of Rexburg and had a little camp fire. We made smores and listened to some Jack Johnson. At one point in the evening another group started launching off some pretty nice fireworks. So it was a really fun night. Full moon, stars, fireworks, camp fire and smore. What more can you ask for?
Yesterday i also started packing up my stuff, and that required me to put away my snowboard stuff. Well it's been 2+ years since I've used it all, so i decided to try it on and run around the dorms a little to see if it still fit. I guess it does! Anyway, i ended up wearing the headband for the majority of the night (date included)

Thursday, woo
So, I am up here at BYU-Idaho. Its my last week here and we've got finals going on. I think that most people make way too big of a deal out of finals; i know they are important but not enough to kill myself from stress. Either way, I have two finals left: spanish and physics. I'm not too worried about the physics one mostly because I understand all that jazz, but the spanish final might be a bit difficult. Its based on the many different books and short stories that we've read in the class and the authors/where they are from. Memorizing is the key.
Tonight I am heading out with Melissa on a double date. We are going out to the dunes with Matt and Dezzy. We are planning on having a bon fire and some good ol' fashion fun with s'mores n such. I'm excited.
So today all I had was my Teachings of the living prophet's final. It was a 5 page paper and then we had the entire class time to share our thoughts, kind of fast and testimony meeting style. It was nice to hear everyone's thoughts about what they had learned from the last general conference. This morning I was invited to play with my old soccer teacher's new soccer class. It was the old class VS the new class, or that was the plan. Not enough people from my class showed up so we just had a big scrimmage, but it was fun. So i guess my cleats need some taping because the turf has been eating them up. Other than all this, things are good.
