a day to myself, kinda

so today i felt like i needed some time to myself and decided to head out to Grand Targhee and use up one of the passes mom and dad got me for my birthday. The snow was great and i had a blast. It was nice because i could board as much and as fast as i wanted to, without having to wait for others...not that i dont enjoy being with others and such, but it was nice for once to get out there and really tear it up according to what i wanted. I got down the hill near closing and thought i was done because the clock read 3:58 and they close at 4 pm, but before i left i asked if i could head up once more...and they let me so i got a lot of boarding in. Then after they closed i came home and spent the rest of the evening with Sommer. We ended up watching some movie. We've been planning a trip out to her family's place over this 4 day weekend, we leave on Friday. It should be fun, there is a lot of stuff to do at her place and we're planning to end up boarding at the resort nearby called Bogus Basin.

i put loads of pics from the boarding trip on my picasa web album, check it

Christmas

so i am out in Cedar City visiting Cameo, and BJ for Christmas. Cameo just had her 3rd son and mom, dad and Abby have come up from mexico to spend Christmas with us. I guess since the only people who i've told about this blog are those who are with me...and they are criticizing my "blogging habits"...i don't need to go into detail about things since they have already heard it from me.

Sommer is coming down to visit the family later this week, so i am pretty excited. thats about it....

uh, here's a post for all you junkies

The semester is coming to close and life is going real well.

On Sunday i got back from spending 5 days with Sommer and her family. That was a lot of fun, but i have to admit that when she asked me if i wanted to go (i think she asked on monday and we left wednesday) i ignored the question for a while so i could think it through. even on the 5 hour drive out to boise i was still reeeally worried that i'd get nailed by her family. i guess i lucked out and they didnt grill me or anything. Her family is really cool and were very accepting.
We had a lot of fun and spent a lot of time together....
Her family has a trampoline, dirt bikes, a theater room, the same foosball table as we do, some miniature ponies and a sweet dog. So there was a lot of stuff to do.
All of Sommer's dads family came over and i got to know her cousin really well. The aunts and uncles mostly kept to themselves while us kids were having fun.
Sommer's sister was with us most the time, along with their cousin.
I am sure this comes as no surprise but i didn't really take any pictutes....

Mexico City

So I've been in Mexico City for the last week and have been thrown into multiple crazy situations where my Spanish has been tried and tested. Mom and Dad have had to set up the TV, phone, and internet services. Not only did I end up having to go back and forth between the sales men and Dad/Mom translating business terms but ordering everyone's food, dealing with parking and the people who work at the apartment complex. This was pretty easy in comparison to the accident that Dad had with someone on the highway. Now in Mexico the police don't get involved in traffic accidents and instead leave it up to the insurance companies to arrive on the scene to deal with the accident. So i ended up working with the insurance company during our accident. Today was pretty fun though, we went out to the Sun Temple and Moon Temple out here, and it was pretty sweeet. Abby and I were the only ones that climed the Sun Temple and we all ended up climbing up as far as we could on the Moon temple (which was only one flight up). Things are good and the food is great. It might seem like I am complaining about the spanish, but I have instead thoroughly enjoyed the chance to help Mom and Dad.

Summer fun

The summer has brought a lot of fun activities along with the beautiful weather here in Rexburg. Lots of time spent at the rivers, playing soccer or chillin out in the sand dunes. So I figured I would throw the pictures I have from all these things up online.
